A High School football coach was severely beaten after a game on Friday in Hancock County. The coach identified as David Daniels was hospitalized, and underwent major reconstructive surgery to his face. He suffered crushed bones above and below his eye, and surgeons had to place metal plates in his face to help reconstruct it.

No charges have been filed. The Warren County Schools Superintendent Carol Jean Carey planned to meet with GBI officials Monday to discuss the matter.
