FORMER Malcolm in The Middle star Frankie Muniz has suffered his second stroke in a year at the age of 27.

Muniz tweeted that he was "miserable" after yet another health scare.

Following his initial stroke in December 2012, Muniz told Good Moing America of the terrifying experience: "I couldn't say words," he said. "I thought I was saying them! My fiancee was looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language.

"I'm still trying to make sense of it, but happy I'm alive."

A mini-stroke is known as a transient ischaemic attack (TIA) and is a sign that part of the brain isn't getting enough blood.

Muniz was once considered "one of Hollywood's most bankable teens", but put his acting career on hold to pursue a racing car driver career in 2008 and to play drums for his band, Kingsfoil.

Muniz has been engaged to his longtime girlfriend, publicist Elycia Marie Tubow since October 2011.
