Facebook suffers outage affecting status updates and "Likes"
Facebook is not allowing people to Like things

FACEBOOK has suffered an outage which restricted people from posting status updates or \"Liking\" posts on the website.

Oveight, many users were seeing the following message when they try to update their status: \"There was a problem updating your status. Please try again in a few minutes.\"

The website Down Right Now said Facebook suffered a likely service disruption. The service appeared to be retuing to normal by 1.30am AEDT.

Unable to update their Facebook status, some took to Twitter instead.

Relax, everyone, Facebook isn't broken. It's just a new \"diary\" feature where you talk to yourself instead of everyone else. #FacebookIssues — Augie Ray (@augieray) October 21, 2013
