Ex-principal Trudie Donovan accused of waiting to report abuse

Authorities say the longtime principal of a suburban Atlanta high school has been charged with failing to report child abuse.

Police say Trudie Donovan, who announced her retirement as principal of Kell High School earlier this month, was booked into the Cobb County Jail Thursday night on the misdemeanor charge.

The Marietta Daily Joual reports (http://bit.ly/KR6tsR) that social studies teacher James Chadwick Brigham of Canton was charged with sexual battery, a felony, and two counts of misdemeanor battery.
