Delta Flight Lands, Catches On Fire At Atlanta Airport

ATLANTA -- A Delta flight flying into Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Inteational Airport caught on fire as it landed Saturday afteoon.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming from the flight 2284 while it was on the runway.

Delta confirms no one was injured in the incident.

The airline said the brakes overheated on the taxiway and started on fire.

The FAA confirmed to GA Daily News the flight was arriving from Pittsburgh.

All of the people on board were evacuated from the plane and have been put on a bus to be taken back to the terminal.

The airline said the plane will be taken to be examined at a maintenance facility once its safe to move.

There is no word if the incident will affect other flights at the airport.
