Delta employee Haydee Angelica Garcia accused of trafficking cocaine

Clayton County police say they arrested a Delta agent for trafficking cocaine in September.51-year-old Haydee Angelica Garcia, a Delta employee was taken into custody after police say two kilograms of cocaine were found in the airport agent's luggage.

Garcia was stopped by Customs Border Protection while traveling from Peru.

Delta says the agent was fired immediately after her arrest.

Delta released the following statement:

"Delta takes matter of this nature very seriously and we cooperated fully with authorities."

Clayton County police only commented on the case to say it's part of an on-going investigation.

Garcia also faces state drug charges.

A Clayton County clerk says this case is set to be brought before a grand jury.
