Cobb Police: Officers Shoot, Kill Man With a Knife
MABLETON, Ga. - Cobb County police say officers have shot and killed a man with a knife at a home in Mableton.
Police Sgt. Dana Pierce tells The Atlanta Joual-Constitution that dispatchers took a 911 call shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday night about a man armed with a knife.
Pierce says the officers tried to persuade the man to surrender but the man confronted the officers with the knife.
No other details were immediately available.
