Church Worker Jeremy Rush Accused Of Child Porn
ROSWELL, Ga. - Jeremy Rush, an interim employee for two months at Roswell Presbyterian Church, is not supposed to be around children because of child po charges, according to his bond. The church said they did not know about the bond or charges until Wednesday.
According to an arrest warrant issued in January, more than 70 video files of child po were found on Rush's home computer. As a condition of his bond, Rush is not supposed to be around children under the age of 16.
Church members CBS Atlanta spoke with said they had no idea about Rush's past and were confident the church would take care of the situation.
The Rev. Timothy Read gave CBS Atlanta this statement:
"We only leaed this afteoon of the accusation which has been brought against Mr. Rush. We take such matters very seriously. Mr. Rush has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately, pending further inquiry."
Despite numerous attempts, CBS Atlanta was unsuccessful in reaching Rush. The Cobb County district attoey's office says the case against Rush is still open.
