Chrysler recall will make it harder to evade cop cars
Dodge Charger police cars

Cop cars tend to be more bullet-proof than your run-of-the-mill commuter vehicles, but that doesn't mean they're immune to recalls, as Chrysler proved this week when it pulled back nearly 10,000 of its menacing Dodge Charger police cars for faulty wiring.

Ironically, it's an issue that would be unlikely to affect lesser cars: The screwy bulb-haess connector that can cause the low beams to fail (and in some cases, the anti-lock brakes and stability control to go too) is only expected to act up during severe police duty action - or in other words, \"long durations of high speed, evasive driving when used as training vehicles for police forces and extended idling,\" as a Chrysler spokesperson put it.
