Braves third baseman Chipper Jones will miss his second game of the season Wednesday night because of a lingering thumb injury. Jones re-aggravated the injury Sunday in his final at bat against the Washington Nationals. He went 0-4 last night against the Florida Marlins.

Jones told FOX 5 before the game he's confident in tonight's starting pitcher Derek Lowe and will not play against the Marlins.

Jones is hitting .333 in 24 at bats this season. His status is unknown for Thursday against Florida.
