Chinese people are going crazy for model with 45 inch legs

The average woman who"s around 5ft 4in tall has an inside leg measurement of 29 inches. This Chinese model has legs measuring 45 inches.

That"s 1.14 meter, or 3ft 9in if you prefer.

Unsurprisingly, 20-year-old Dong Lei"s incredibly long legs have made her an inteet star in China.

The model from Anhui province, east China, is 5ft 11in tall. She used to be a nursery school teacher, and towered over her students.

Dong"s legs alone are taller than the average Chinese 7-year-old and, at 1.14 metres, aren"t far short of the height of the average Chinese woman, which is 1.57 metres (5 foot 2 inches).

She says that she gets her height from her 6ft 1in father and 5ft 7in mother.

She became famous across China after entering the TV program Supermodel, where she eaed herself the nickname ‘tui tui", meaning long legs. See what they did there?

Dong told People Daily: ‘I find it incredible that I have suddenly become an inteet celebrity!"

Yet, even with her lengthy proportions, she can"t claim to have the longest legs in the world – that honour lies with former basketball player Svetlana Pankratova, from Russia, whose inside leg measures 51.9 inches.

Which is amazing. But just imagine trying to find tights that fit (*finds gusset half way down leg*).
