A TEENAGER managed to secretly film his parents being brutally beaten by supermarket security guards while on holiday in Spain.

The French couple were assaulted by guards in the seaside city of Torrevieja after they set off the alarm at the shop's cash registers.

They were asked to pass through the security barriers multiple times, but no stolen items were found, The Local reported.

The security guards took the tourists into an office where they were spat on and beaten in front of their children. Their youngest child is seven years old.

One of their children, aged 15, captured part of the attack on camera. The video shows one guard putting the father in a chokehold, while the other punches the mother multiple times.

The man said: \"They grabbed my neck and I thought I was going to die in Spain.\"

His wife added: \"My youngest child couldn't stop crying, I couldn't console him.

\"If they had found something, well that's different, but I didn't have anything. They looked everywhere and didn't find anything.\"

The couple was treated at a local hospital after the incident.

The supermarket has confirmed that an assault took place on its premises and has referred to the firm it hires for security to provide more information.

The security firm has not responded to requests for comment, El Mundo reported.
