Child dies after being left in hot car at daycare center in Warner Robins

Police in Waer Robins are investigating the death of a 3-year-old child who was found in a parked car outside a local daycare center.

Authorities say the child was left inside the car on Georgetown Boulevard on Sunday. The Macon Telegraph reports that he was taken to Houston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the child as Andrew Leighlan Calloway of Waer Robins. A police report states the car was locked when authorities arrived and found him inside.

The boy's father, 26-year-old Andrew Calloway of Waer Robins, said he arrived at a daycare center after work to pick up his son and found the home roped off by yellow crime scene tape.

Waer Robins police say they're investigating the circumstances of the death.
