Police say a Carroll County man abducted his 16-year-old girlfriend from her home on Thanksgiving Day before the two died in an accident.

Elijah Cox, 20, showed up at his girlfriend's home with a shotgun around 8:30 p.m. on November 24 and abducted her.

When police responded, they saw Cox's vehicle driving at a high rate of speed past them in the opposite direction. By the time they tued around, they found the vehicle crashed into a tree, in flames.
