Car Slams into DeKalb Homes, Vehicles

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A woman and two of her children escaped harm Wednesday moing after her car veered off the road and slammed into two DeKalb County homes and several vehicles.

DeKalb police say the woman was making a tu from her driveway onto a street when she lost control of her vehicle -- a 1995 Honda station wagon. She then hit several cars and two homes in the Walnut Creek neighborhood.

Tomieka Mims says she was getting ready for her day when the car plowed through home.

The driver and her two teen-aged daughters who were in the car with her were not injured. Authorities say they were not transported to a hospital.

Police say no charges will be filed believing it was simply an accident.
