Burglar subjected victim to brutal revenge rape attack

A BURGLAR who broke into a woman's house to carry out a horrific sex attack in revenge for her reporting a break in years earlier has been jailed.

Ashley Mills subjected the 59-year-old victim, known as Linda, to a terrifying ordeal after breaking into her rural home and threatening her with a knife before telling her \"I've come to rape you.\"

Mills, 28, also threatened to kill her during the brutal attack where she was repeatedly attacked.

The rapist, who had been jailed for burgling her home four years earlier, forced his way into the home and asked for a glass of water, the Daily Mirror reported.

He then headbutted her and when Linda tried to run out of the house he threatened her with a knife.

She managed to convince him to give up the knife but was forced to submit to his demands.

\"He got angry and said if I didn't stop he would use it. I just had to submit and he did what he wanted,\" she said.

\"I thought he was going to kill me.\"

The attacker pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and one of attempted rape and admitted one count of trespass with intent to commit a sex offence.

He was sentenced to 18 years in prison at Portsmouth Crown Court.

It was the second time Mills had targeted the victim. He admitted robbing her in 2009 and was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
