Buford man George Young gunned down in front of his Gwinnett home
George Young

-Police say a man was gunned down in front of his northe Gwinnett County home.

The incident happened around midnight at a home on Montauk Hill Drive in Buford.

The victim, 43-year-old George Young, was pronounced dead at the scene. He leaves behind a wife and three children, ages 17, 13 and eight.

People living in the house heard the gunfire and went outside to see what was going on and found their loved one dead. Young had been shot multiple times.

Detectives on the scene tell us the man was killed as he retued home from a security job located outside of Gwinnett County.  Investigators have no motive for the crime, nor do they have a suspect description.

Police planned on canvassing the area to see if anyone saw a car leave or a suspicious person in the area. They also are interviewing the family, hoping to see if there's anything in the victim's past that might cause him to be a target.  But police say the home doesn't have a history that would leave them to believe something like this could happen here.
