All this time, you thought Bashar Assad was Syria's dictator. Apparently, his gorgeous, British-bo wife didn't get the memo.
Asma Assad told a friend that she was the \"real dictator\" in the family, according to leaked e-mails that have been released by the country's opposition.
Mrs. Assad also displays no regrets about the regime's bloody crackdown, which has accounted for an estimated 8,000 deaths.
Assad's \"dictator\" comment was made partly in jest during an exchange with a friend about how much attention spouses pay to each other. \"As for listening - I am the REAL dictator, he has no choice ...\" she wrote back in December.
