COULD Bruce Willis have been any less interested in this interview if he tried?

The 58-year-old sat down for a chat with Britain's Magic 105.4 reporter Jamie Edwards, but the exchange has been described as "the most awkward interview ever" after the star claimed he could "hardly keep his mind" on it.

Willis and his co-star Mary Louise Parker were chatting to Edwards about their new movie Red 2, but Willis refused to play nice from the start.

Despite Edwards' best efforts to engage Willis, he appeared bored and uninterested in the five-minute banter, with critics labelling him "rude" "painful" and "completely uncooperative".

The interview got off to a bad start when Willis couldn't even be bothered to say "hello" to Edwards and his listeners.

And it soon went from bad to worse.

When he asked Willis which location he preferred shooting the film in the most, the Die Hard star replied "Istanbul", even though the film was not shot there.

He then continued: "Has any actor ever told you this Jamie? This part is not acting. The fun part is over. We're just selling the film now. Sales."

To which the reporter then asked him: "How would you sell me the film then?"

Willis said: "I wouldn't. I'd slash my hooves."

The interviewer persevered, only for Willis to make sarcastic remarks about the quality of his questions and further shut down his efforts.

When Edwards' quoted a line from the movie about the secret to keeping women happy, Willis replied: "No. That part is just a line in a movie."

As a last-ditch effort to get a quote out of Willis, Edwards then asked if he enjoyed the car chase scenes in the film, but once again Willis proved he did not want to be there.

"I'm thinking about driving right now. I can hardly keep my mind on this interview. I'm thinking about driving up the M1. You have some great questions here Jamie. Great chat."
