Breaking: New 'Isis' recording claims Haruna Yukawa 'has been killed'

Japanese experts are attempting to verify an audio recording in which a voice claiming to be that of hostage Kenji Goto says his fellow captive has been killed.

Joualist Kenji Goto Jogo and military company operator Haruna Yukawa were seen in an Isis video this week in which executioner ‘Jihadi John" demanded $200million within 72 hours for the hostages" lives.

And in a recording released today, a voice claiming to be that of 47-year-old joualist Mr Goto says fellow captive Mr Yukawa has been murdered – and blames his death on Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Mr Goto also says he will be killed if a failed female Isis suicide bomber is not released.

The audio recording is accompanied by a still image of Mr Goto holding a picture apparently showing Mr Yukawa"s beheaded body.

The Japanese govement has slammed the message but say they cannot yet verify its authenticity following allegations that the ‘Jihadi John" ransom demand video was made up of several separate recordings.

Yoshihide Suga, the Japanese chief cabinet secretary, said cabinet ministers were holding an emergency meeting about the new message.
