Bodies of 5 missing Lexington Co. children found in Alabama, father Timothy Ray Jones, Jr in custody
Authorities say the bodies of five kids missing from South Carolina have been found off of a dirt road in Alabama, and the children's father is in custody.
Sheriff Kenny Hardin told reporters that the bodies were found around 5:00 p.m. in a rural area in Wilcox County, Alabama.
Sheriff Harden said the father told Mississippi authorities that he dumped the bodies on Highway 10 between Camden and Greenville.

Wilcox County District Attoey Michael Jackson said he believes the children were killed in South Carolina and said the bodies will eventually be taken back to Lexington County.
Jackson says he spoke to the district attoey in Lexington County, and due to the serious nature of this situation they will handle all charges. No charges will be filed in Alabama.
FBI sources tell reporters that Timothy Ray Jones, Jr. was taken into custody in Smith County, Mississippi, and that the arrest is connected to the disappearance of his five children.

Jones remains in custody in Mississippi.
Investigators said the kids were last seen in Lexington County with their father.
The mother, who is divorced from Jones, reported the children missing to the sheriff's department just after 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 3.
The mother told investigators that she had been unable to get in contact with her ex-husband. She also said there had been other occasions where she couldn't get in touch with Jones.
Neighbors, meanwhile, told deputies that Jones said he was moving the children to another state.
