Bobby Brown arrested for DUI in Los Angeles — again

Lately Bobby Brown has been making more headlines for his brushes with the law than for his music.

The New Edition singer was arrested early Wednesday moing in Los Angeles for driving under the influence.

According to local media reports, the incident happened around 1 a.m. when a police cruiser spotted the 43-year-old driving erratically and pulled him over.The officer reportedly smelled alcohol and gave the singer a field sobriety test, which he was said to have failed.

Brown was promptly taken into custody and booked at a nearby police station.

The incident in the San Feando Valley section of L.A. is Brown's second DUI arrest this year.

In March, he was busted for driving under the influence in the same part of town.

A judge sentenced him to an alcohol treatment program, probation and a fine after he pleaded no contest, just one month after his ex wife, Whitney Houston died.

Brown admitted himself into a rehab facility in August.

In addition to dealing with a host of legal problems, the father-of-five married his manager, Alicia Etheredge in June.

Bobby and Alicia, who have three-year-old Cassius together, tied the knot in Hawaii after the singer proposed to her at a New Edition concert in 2010.

Brown is also father to 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina, his only child with Whitney Houston.

The former chart-topping singer has struggled with substance abuse for much of his life, and was arrested for DUI in Georgia back in 1996.

Brown pleaded guilty and served eight days in jail.

It's unclear how this latest arrest will affect his probation status.
