That's the question being asked by critics after photos emerged of the star looking more "bloated" and "aged" than the chiselled star we know from action films such as Speed and The Matrix.
The 48-year-old hit Cannes on Sunday, boarding Harvey Weinstein's boat for an afteoon soirée.
But onlookers commented that Reeves' "less-than-hunky appearance" left him almost "unrecognisable".
