Beyonce's publicists have to be good at their jobs, but they apparently don't understand how the Inteet works. After BuzzFeed (and, subsequently, other websites) published still photos taken from her Super Bowl halftime performance, her PR team raced to their computers to insist that those pictures be removed from the Inteet immediately.

"There are some unflattering photos on your current feed that we are respectfully asking you to change," Team Beyonce member Yvette wrote in an email. "I am certain that you will be able to find some better photos." Seriously? So since anyone with a DVR and a pause button can freeze Beyonce's face in any number of awful positions, does that mean they'll be confiscating our televisions, too? [Source]

After Beyoncé's publicist emailed Buzzfeed to ask that the site take down several images of her client, her attempt backfired in epic proportions. Buzzfeed published the email, and in the Inteet phenomenon known as the Streisand Effect, one halftime image in particular circulated so virulently it became an instant meme.
