'Germany's heaviest newborn

A BABY, weighing 13lb and 22 inches long, has been bo naturally.

Jasleen, a baby girl, was bo at University Hospital in Leipzig, Germany, on July 26, making her the country's largest-ever.

Jasleen's mother was found to have an undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes, a condition which normally occurs around the 24th week of pregnancy and can lead to a larger-than-normal newbo.

Doctors said that the mother and daughter are well after the birth, with Jasleen remaining in the neonatal care unit, doctors said, German magazine Der Spiegel reported.

The Guinness Book of World Records states the heaviest baby bo was to Anna Bates, of Canada, in 1879. The 7'5\" mother and her 7'11\" husband welcomed a 23lb 12oz. baby boy, who died 11 hours later.
