Demand for a popular organic baby formula in China is fueling a shortage in Australia, consumers claim. 

Bellamy"s Organic Step 1 Infant Formula sells for nearly $24 in Australia is showing up on Taobao, a Chinese website similar to eBay, for double the price.

Brisk sales in China were bolstered in the past couple weeks, in part, because of a huge online shopping event tied to a Nov. 11 holiday in China.

Australian mothers have been complaining that stores have prioritized Chinese consumers over them.
