Astronaut relishes ‘firm’ space handshake with robot
This Robot-Human Handshake is Out of This World

Wasn't this a scene from \"Battlestar Galactica\"? This video, shot on the Inteational Space Station, shows the \"first human-humanoid handshake in space\" -- specifically, between \"Robonaut 2\" and a grinning Expedition 30 Commander Dan Burbank. The event took place after Robonaut 2 completed its system checks on the ISS. Mashable reports that the humans involved are training robots to \"take over boring, repetitive and dangerous tasks that the astronauts might not want to do themselves.\" (World domination presumably not included.) \"For the record, it was a firm handshake,\" Burbank says on the video.

Would you like to have a robot assistant?
