Ashlee Simpson weds Evan Ross at Diana Ross’s estate

ASHLEE Simpson married her fiance Evan Ross over the weekend, with his mum, Diana Ross, officiating at the ceremony.

According to E! News, the wedding took place at the music legend’s Connecticut home (Ross reportedly performed at the reception as well).

Simpson’s five-year old son Bronx walked her down the aisle, while sister Jessica Simpson served as maid of honour.

The bride also wore a whopping US$800,000 of Neil Lane jewels, while the groom sported a black velvet tux with a white silk trim.

This is Simpson’s second marriage. She was previously married to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz from 2008 until 2011.

Simpson, 29, and Ross, 26, went public with their romance in July 2013, and were engaged in January after the actor popped the question while they were on holiday in Hawaii.

“My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii !!!!!” Simpson declared via Twitter. Ashlee announced their engagement on Twitter.

“Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever,” Ross told E! News at SXSW in Austin, a few weeks before their engagement party in March. “We just want to be married. We’re in love. This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I’m young, but the same time, I’ve lived a different life than most and I can’t think of a happier moment.”
