Armed robber shoots 90-year-old WWII vet, then sues him
Several months ago, Samuel Cutrufelli allegedly broke in to 90-year-old Jay Leone's home, tied the World War II vet to a chair and proceeded to tear through the closets looking for valuables.
When Leone got free and grabbed a gun, Cutrufelli shot him in the face, according to police. Leone fired back, hitting the burglar three times. Now—and here's the part where you'll want to sit down—Cutrufelli is suing Leone, claiming that being shot "caused him great bodily injury," ended his marriage and pretty much ruined his life. That's right, the armed robber is suing the victim. YAY AMERICA! When told of Cutrufelli's lawsuit, Leone didn't flinch. "He's the one who busted my door in," he said. "I'll just countersue him then." [Source]
