Apple Watch finally gets a launch date - and it's April this year
Apple has finally revealed the release date for its long-awaited smart wearable, Apple Watch, which is to go on sale worldwide in April.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said that he's already wearing and enjoying an early model.
‘I'm using it every day and love it and can't live without it,' he said.
Cook said that developers are working on new apps called ‘Glances' – apparently in reference to the way people will view those apps on their wrists.
The gadget is expected to be priced at around $455 at launch, going by U.S. pricing and Apple's normal pricing levels, according to Mac World.
When Apple announced the product in 2014, the company promised that the Watch would launch ‘early' in 2015.
It will let users make calls from their wrists, as well as using apps like email – and monitoring their heartbeat and exercise levels, pairing with iPhones via Bluetooth.
The gadget will pair with iPhones via Bluetooth, and offers a built-in accelerometer, GPS, Wi-Fi and heart monitor.
