Angry Birds Facebook Game To Give Pigs 'More Prominent Role'

There have been rumors, but it has since been confirmed: Angry Birds is coming to Facebook in May, Peter Vesterbacka of Rovio, the maker of Angry Birds, told The Next Web.

The highly addictive game will be tweaked sightly for Facebook.

Rovio CEO Mikael Hed told Wired, \"The pigs will have a more prominent role.\"

He added that the game will take advantage of Facebook's collaboration tools to include \"completely new aspects to it that just haven't been experienced on any other platform.\"

The game has expanded beyond iPhone and Android apps and will be available on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3, as well as as a board game.
