Amanda Bynes tweets claims her father sexually abused her as fears for her mental health mount

AMANDA Bynes is receiving psychiatric care after she tweeted - and then retracted — a series of bombshell claims about her father sexually abusing her.

TMZ reports that the troubled young star has been placed on a 5150 “psychiatric hold” by doctors in Los Angeles, in consultation with her family and legal representatives.

A 5150 hold lasts for 72 hours but can be extended for 14 days, the site reported.

Earlier, Bynes accused her father, Rick, of verbal, physical and sexual abuse before taking it all back and saying the microchip in her brain made her do it.

The troubled former child star, 27, made the bombshell accusations in a series of tweets, The New York Post reports.

“My dad was verbally and physically abuse [sic] to me as a child,” she wrote.

Shortly after, she accused him of asking her for sex and fondling himself in front of her, and described living with him as “a total nightmare.”

However, she then tweeted that her dad never abused her — but saying that he implanted a microchip in her brain.

Earlier, Bynes went on an extraordinary Twitter blast, saying her father sexually abused her while her mother tued a blind eye.

She has since deleted many of the inflammatory tweets, which claimed her father asked to have sex with her.

She also tweeted that she captured video of him regularly fondling himself in front of her, and called living with him “a nightmare”.

Her family have denied the accusations, saying through a lawyer that they are “heartbroken”.

The accusations came after a string of other tweets in which the actor discussed needing a “tremendous amount” of cosmetic surgery, criticised tabloid coverage of her and reiterated that she is in love.

BYNES SAYS SHE’S ENGAGED, ‘IN LOVE’

Bynes’ tweets come after a string of troubling behaviour from the actor.

Last month she was arrested for DUI and earlier this week, she announced her engagement to a 19-year-old and was banned from Baeys for allegedly shoplifting.

Shortly after her arrest, Bynes’ father told X17 that he and his wife Lynn had not seen or heard from their daughter.

“We know nothing about this. We were called by the press,” he told the website. “I’m getting calls all day long. That’s all I know.”

The actor had spent the last year living with her parents until a court-ordered conservatorship ended in early September.

The tweets may be because Bynes leaed that her parents were on their way to New York to admit her to a mental health facility, reports TMZ.

Her parents’ lawyer told TMZ “my clients are heartbroken by these false accusations. Their older children are also horrified at the situation.”

Sources tell the website that she has so far refused her parents attempts to help her, going as far as to try to leave New York, but was tued away from LaGuardia airport after yelling at a ticket agent.
