Amanda Bynes in trouble with the law again

TROUBLED actress Amanda Bynes, on probation for reckless driving, has been arrested for getting behind the wheel while on drugs.

CBS Los Angeles reports the 28-year-old was pulled over about 3.30am Sunday in Califoia and charged with a misdemeanour after police “determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance” while driving. It is not clear what substance was in her system.

Police said the former child star sped through a red light before stopping in the middle of the intersection.

Bynes, who has had several run-ins with the law, was held on $15,000 bail and released on Sunday afteoon, according to the Califoia Highway Patrol.

The former Nickelodeon star is due to appear in court on the misdemeanour charge on October 23.

Bynes is currently on probation after pleading no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving in February.

The Hairspray actress’ very public meltdown began about two years ago.

She received psychiatric treatment last year after authorities said she set a small fire in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks. She was also reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia.
