Alabama school guard Michael Wayne Wooten pleads guilty in child porn case
A former school security officer pleaded guilty to one count of production of child poography on Tuesday.
Michael Wayne Wooten, 60, was arrested in November on charges that between August 2009 and April 2010 he used a vacant Birmingham, Ala. elementary school office to take photographs of young girls.
A search of Wooten's home revealed multiple computers containing child poography, including images shot by Wooten that showed victims between ages 4 and 9 engaged in sexually explicit behavior.
Wooten retired from the Birmingham Police Department in 1997, police Sgt. Johnny Williams, Jr. told the newspaper. He then worked as a security officer for Birmingham City Schools from July 1997 until May 2011.
