LUMPKIN COUNTY, GA  - Authorities say a prominent member of the Lumpkin County community was arrested on child poography charges.

According to the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office, Paul Travis Williams, 48, a longtime director of the 4-H Center at Camp Wasega is facing one count of possession of child poography following a search of a hard drive in his home back in September.

Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard says the search warrant was based on a tip from UGA that suspected child poography was uploaded from a location inside the camp, which was also searched.

After searching the home of Williams, police say they found a hard drive that had one of the uploaded images. Williams used a computer on the camp's property to upload child poography.

"The 4-H Center is an extension of UGA, so these computers are monitored," Sheriff Jarrard said. "When something is uploaded, UGA gets an alert. From my understanding, that's how this all came about."

The sheriff says the investigation is ongoing.
