HALL COUNTY, Ga. -- Three people were killed and three others were injured in a car crash in Hall County on Wednesday.

The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. on Clarks Bridge Road near Honeysuckle Road in Gainesville.

Authorities told Channel 2’s John Bachman that a preliminary investigation revealed a minivan veered off the road and overcorrected, striking an SUV traveling in the opposite direction.

Bachman leaed that all three people in the minivan were killed. The driver of the SUV was identified as Angela Jakel. She was taken to an area hospital along with her twin 11-year-old daughters, where they were treated and released.

State troopers have not released the names of the other victims.
