2nd suspect Kenneth Wheat arrested in murder of Carrollton teen Nizzear Rodriguez
Kenneth Wheat was arrested and charged in connection to the murder of 13-year-old Nizzear Rodriguez.

Carrollton officials said that they have arrested a second person in the murder of 13-year-old Nizzear Rodriguez at his home in Carrollton on Sunday.

Carrollton police have arrested 21-year-old Kenneth Wheat in connection to the crime. Wheat reportedly knows the Rodriguez family.

On Monday, police arrested 17-year-old Malik Davis and charged him with murder.

Nizzear was an honor roll student at Carrollton Junior High School. He had just celebrated his 13th birthday the night before and was sleeping when he was shot and killed.
