ATLANTA -- A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Atlanta.

A Bank of America on Akers Mill Road was robbed shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, Cobb County police spokesman Joe Heandez said in a news release.

Heandez said a man gave a teller a note demanding money, Heandez said. He said the teller then gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled the bank.

Police investigators later identified the man as Jesse Clarence Odum, of Atlanta. He was arrested on robbery charges and taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
