19-year-old David Walker in custody after father's deadly stabbing
The Gwinnett County Police Department says a man has died after a violent assault in Hoschton.
Police say the incident took place at a home in the 1600 block of Country Woods Lane Wednesday afteoon.
Two men, a father and son, were involved in the assault, according to police. They found David Walker, 46, with severe injuries when they arrived.
Police have identified the suspect as the victim's son 19-year-old David Trent Walker. Authorities confirm the teen is in police custody. Police say he was also on scene when they arrived.
The father was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center where he died shortly after from his injuries. Police believe he died from a stab wound.
Police say they are waiting on a search warrant to go inside the home.
The motive is unknown at this time.
