A video that reportedly shows a man buing a deer has caused outrage on social media.

The video was posted to Facebook on June 5 (waing, disturbing content), and appears to show a man buing a deer after he hit it with his truck near Dawson Creek. It was then posted to a Dawson Creek group.

The man can be heard saying he hit the deer, dragged it for a while and then but it. It is unclear in the video if the animal is alive or dead when it was set on fire.

"It"s a deer I just hit on the highway, drug [sic] it for a while, it"s on fire now. Yeah. Deer be waed,” the man can be heard saying, right before he starts laughing. "F*** that deer is buing good,” he adds.

The video has received hundreds of comments on Facebook, and people have put in complaints with the Dawson Creek SPCA and conservation officers who have said they are looking into the incident.

The man has been identified on social media.

"If he can do this what"s stopping him from doing something else like moving onto a live animal, doing the same or worse,” says Wanda on Facebook.

"It"s the behavior of a disturbed person to consciously drag an animal dead or alive, bu, video tape it, mock, and broadcast/brag about it. This is sort of person who ends up killing people later in life, then everyone says "why wasn"t he stopped earlier?” says Scott.

However, not everyone was outraged by the video:

" It was already dead jeez,” says Nathan.
