Woburn Man Jay Korff Jailed For Harassing Judge For 3 Years
WOBURN, Mass. -- A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to accusations that he hacked into an e-mail of a Middlesex probate judge and sent harassing messages and phone calls to his cell phone and relatives for three years.
Jay Korff, of Boston, was ordered to serve two months of a 2 1/2-year prison sentence, with the remaining time suspended for 10 years.
p>Korff, 54, pleaded guilty Monday to nine charges, including criminal harassment, threats and unauthorized access of a computer. A charge of stalking was placed on file without a guilty plea.p>The Middlesex District Attoey's office did not name the judge harassed and threatened by Korff.
Prosecutors said Korff caused the victim him and his family anguish and anxiety and described the actions as deliberate and calculated attempts at targeting the very core of the judicial system.
