This might just be the very definition of karma.

A white supremacist blew his leg off as he attempted to make bombs in a garage covered in racist paraphealia.

Michael O’Neill, 45, had covered his parent’s garage in Nazi symbols, Ku Klux Klan posters and Confederate flags when he endured the injury in Wheatland, New York last month.

He has since been charged with the possession of an unregistered destructive device, and a judge has ruled that he should be detained by US Marshals, as he is a ‘danger to the community’.

It is thought that his injury occurred when he stood on buing gun powder as he attempted to make an improvised explosive device – and his left leg has since been amputated.

Authorities in New York say they found white supremacist propaganda in a garage where a former corrections officer blew his leg off last month. A judge on Wednesday ordered 45-year-old Michael O'Neill held without bond after hearing evidence in the case. During the detention hearing, authorities detailed a July 21 explosion that occurred inside a detached garage at O'Neill's parents' Wheatfield home. According to the prosecution, Niagara County sheriff's deputies were responding to a 911 call at the property when they found seven improvised explosive devices. One of the devices was labeled "Powder w/Nails." Other items found at the scene included flash powder and potassium perchlorate, a common oxidizer used in fireworks and ammunition.

When police entered the property, they discovered seven improvised explosive devices and a variety of bomb making materials.

Describing the discovery, assistant US Attoey Jack Alsup said: ‘We don’t know the import exactly of what these sort of inflammatory items might’ve meant, only to say that they were in the immediate vicinity.’

Before being fired in 2009, O’Neill worked as a Corrections Officer in 2009 – but is now facing ten years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
