THE bride and a 14-year-old boy were treated for alcohol poisoning while seven guests, including the groom, were arrested after a mass drunken brawl broke out at a wedding from hell.

Police were called to the reception in the US state of Pennsylvania after a

a guest noticed that the 14-year-old was drunk and told his mother for letting her son drink beer.

“The mother responded with a punch to that woman’s face,” Police Chief Scott Eaken told the New York Daily News.

The mass drunken brawl that ensued after the woman threw her punch was so violent that it took 25 police officers from 16 departments to break up.

In the middle of the fracas was the groom, 31-year-old Nicholas Papoputsis, who challenged the officers to a fight and refused to back down when they tued up at the scene, the New York Daily News.

“I tried reasoning with him, telling him that he didn’t really want to get arrested on his wedding night,” police officer Sean Showalter wrote in a report on the incident at the Ontelaunee Township venue.

Seven people — including Papoputsis — were arrested on various charges including disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

To add to the chaos, the bride was also treated for alcohol poisoning.

“It was messy for a little while, that’s for sure,” Police Chief Eaken said.
