Two window washers left dangling 69 stories high on side of new World Trade Center
Two window washers were left dangling 69 stories high outside the One World Trade Centre after a scaffold malfunction.
Firefighters scrambled to the tallest building in the Weste hemisphere – at a staggering 1,776 feet – on Wednesday afteoon.
The scaffold broke at around 12:45pm.
The two workers were both tethered but trapped on the south side of the building.
Window washers have been seen on the new building over the past few days now that construction is complete.
There are no reported injuries.
