TV reporter Mary King Learns to smile after Bell's Palsy attack left her with no control on right side of her face
Columbia, South Carolina TV reporter Mary King had the scare of her life when a Bell's Palsy attack left her paralysed on the right side of her face. Three weeks later, she's made a remarkable recovery. The disease is relatively rare and affects around 30,000 to 40,000 people in the U.S. annually, and starts because of inflammation of the seventh cranial nerve, which is located at the hinge of the jaw bone and the base of the ear.
