Fifth-graders send cards to teacher Melissa Dean's jailbird boyfriend
Teacher Melissa Dean Under Fire for Holiday Cards

An elementary school teacher told her NYC class that their handwritten cards would be sent to people who were lonely during the holidays. In reality, Melissa Dean mailed their Crayola Christmas greetings to her inmate boyfriend John Coccarelli, a convicted felon who was once arrested for possession of child poography.

The package was intercepted by a prison staffer, who deemed it "inappropriate." "We're not going to tolerate [Dean's actions]," City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott told the New York Daily News. "We're moving for that teacher's termination." We'd like to send her a card, but don't know where to find one that says "We're sorry you're an idiot."

How would you discipline Ms. Dean?
