Syracuse Track Star Sabrina Cammock Dies in Mysterious Circumstances
Sabrina Cammock

NY police are investigating the death of a Syracuse student on Saturday following a night out with a group of girlfriends.

Police report shows Sabrina Cammock, 21, of Queens was sharing a room at the Edison Hotel in Times Square with her friends and all was well when they went to sleep. However, when the rest of the girls woke up, they found Cammock dead in her bed.

Sabrina ran indoor and outdoor track at Syracuse University for four years and is the current school record holder 4×100-meter relay. Her most recent competition was just last week when she placed 13th overall in the 60-meter race at the ACC Indoor Championships. She was a senior at the university, majoring in public health.

According to police, there were no signs of trauma and no drugs were found in the hotel room. So it’s a mystery, at this point, as to why the young woman died. We’ll keep you updated on when a cause of death is determined.
