Student's lawsuit says roomie's sex life made her suicidal
A Stonehill College graduate filed a lawsuit against the school this week, claiming that her roommate's active sex life drove her into a "dark and suicidal depression." In the court filing, Lindsay Blankmeyer says her roommate "Laura" had sex and "sexually inappropriate" video chats in their shared room ... but according to college rules quoted in the complaint, the roommate's only official misstep was failing to ask Blankmeyer for permission to have an oveight guest.
Blankmeyer admits to suffering from depression and attention deficit disorder at the time she enrolled at Stonehill, a key point, since she claims the school's failure to give her a single room was discriminatory. Stonehill has refunded Blankmeyer's housing costs for the time she spent living off-campus.
