State OKs medical marijuana, but don't get excited, stoners
The victory cigars might smell a bit funny for Connecticut lawmakers after the state senate passed medical marijuana legislation last night, which the goveor is expected to sign into law.
The bill would make Connecticut the 17th state to legalize medical marijuana, and would do so with a list of specific diseases that are covered and a strict licensing system for growers, users and providers.
Politicians used Califoia's laid-back system of distribution as an example of what not to do, meaning it shouldn't be easy for Constitution Staters to sidle up to a doctor feelgood and get their green.
