Woman thinks her Lyft driver is kidnapping her, escapes, later learns he's deaf

A woman must have thought she was in a movie last week after she jumped out of a ride-sharing car thinking she was being kidnapped beacuse you know, pulling your phone out and calling the police from the back seat just wasn't adventurous enough.

A San Francisco woman ordered a ride from Lyft, a popular transportation network in The Golden Gate City

At one point, the driver made a wrong tu, and the woman tried to correct him. When he didn't respond to her, she started panicking, thinking he was trying to kidnap her.

The woman jumped out of the car to run away, but broke her ankle in the process.

Police investigations later revealed that the driver wasn't trying to kidnap her. He didn't respond because he was hearing-impaired.
